Use this procedure to remove one or more state modules from an open plan.

When you remove a state module from a tax plan, all information entered at the state level for that particular plan is removed as well. For this reason, you may want to back up the plan data before removing a state.

Deleting a state from the open plan using the Edit menu

  1. Choose Edit > Add/Remove States to open the Add / Remove States dialog.
  2. To remove a resident state, highlight the state that is selected in the Resident state field and press the DELETE key.
  3. To remove nonresident states, clear the checkbox next to each state you want to remove.
  4. Click OK to close the Add / Remove States dialog.

Deleting a state from the open plan using the Plan Information dialog

  1. Choose File > Plan Information to open the Plan Information dialog.
  2. To remove a resident state, highlight the state that is selected in the Resident State field and press the DELETE key.
  3. To remove nonresident states, click the Nonresident States button, clear the checkbox next to each state you want to remove, and click OK.
  4. Click OK to close the Plan Information dialog.
