Internal Employees: Submit feedback using the new SharePoint request form
Certain client fields share data with UltraTax CS, Creative Solutions Accounting (CSA), Accounting CS, and Onvio. Data sharing is based on the client’s SSN or EIN. When a client’s EIN/SSN in Practice CS matches the EIN/SSN of a client in UltraTax CS or CSA, certain client fields will share data.
For data sharing to take place, you need to specify your file locations in both applications. In Practice CS, choose Setup > System Configuration > File Locations, and use the File Locations dialog to specify the data locations of the applications. You can specify multiple locations for an application by using additional rows.
When you set up a client in Practice CS with the same SSN or EIN as a client in UltraTax CS, CSA, or Accounting CS, the application will prompt you via a Data Sharing dialog to accept the client’s information from the other application. You can then choose to accept or postpone the indicated changes.
Note: When you enter a spouse SSN that matches a spouse SSN of an UltraTax CS 1040 client that is set up as Married filing joint or Married filing separate, the application will prompt you via a Data Sharing dialog to accept the spouse’s first and last names from UltraTax CS. You can then choose to accept or postpone the indicated changes.
If your firm has licensed Onvio, use Onvio Link to enable data sharing between Practice CS and Onvio. If you haven't already done so, install Onvio Link. Open Onvio Link and follow the steps in Data sharing with Onvio to set up data sharing.
The following fields in Practice CS share data with other CS Professional Suite applications and Onvio.

Note: All name fields share data with other applications only if the corresponding field in the target application is null. If the field contains a value, the target application will not let data sharing change the corresponding name field.
