MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

  1. Choose Setup > Office Configuration.
  2. Click the Print Options tab.
  3. Click the PDF File Options button.
  4. On the Options tab, mark the Print 990 Government copy to a PDF file for public inspection checkbox.


    • UltraTax/990 creates the PDF when you print the Government copy or when you create an electronic file.
    • The PDF is password protected. To select the password options, choose Setup > Client Communications and click the Password button in the PDF Delivery Password Options field.
  5. To select a specific data location for the PDF, choose Setup > User Preferences and on the File Locations tab, modify the PDF output location for the current year.
