MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Thomson Reuters is committed to proactively evolving our security features to help you protect your firm and your clients' data. For more information about multi-factor authentication, see Multi-factor authentication overview.

In UltraTax CS, you need to enter information only one time for the 990 or 990-EZ return and the 990-T return when the client entity type is 990E, exempt organization. The same is true when you prepare the 990-PF return and the 990-T return and the client entity type is 990PF, private foundation. The procedures to enter unrelated business income and expense differ based on the type of activity.
