Associations are used to sort assets during data entry, enter information needed for UltraTax CS personal property tax returns, and categorize assets for reporting purposes. (Note that reports sorted by these categories are available in Fixed Assets CS, which is licensed and installed separately.) Use the Associations dialog to set up application-defined associations, define custom associations, and customize the placement and order of the association fields in the Asset Detail dialog.

To open this dialog, choose Setup > Associations while the Asset List window or Asset Detail dialog is open.

Special information

You can specify which associations appear as columns in the asset list window for an open client.
