Question

Why is foreign interest and/or dividend income doubled on Form 1116?

Answer

The foreign interest and/or dividend income was probably entered on Screen Income and again on Screen 1116, which doubles the income on Form 1116.

If you enter interest and/or dividend income in the statement dialogs on Screen Income, do not enter the same income on Screen 1116. A Screen 1116 is automatically completed for the income entered in these statement dialogs.
