Use this procedure to specify setup options for all 1041 clients subsequently added to UltraTax/1041. Options set in this dialog are also applied to a client whose data was converted from another tax product the first time the client is opened in UltraTax CS.

  1. Choose Setup > 1041 Fiduciary.

    Note: Depending on the security configuration, you may be prompted to enter the master password and click OK before continuing.

  2. Click the Federal tab.
  3. Click the New Client Options button in the Additional information group box to open the New Client Options dialog.

    Notes

    • The options selected in this dialog apply to all 1041 clients subsequently added to UltraTax/1041. Changing any option in the New Client Options dialog does not affect existing 1041 clients. You must open each client and edit the data accordingly if you do not want UltraTax CS to use a particular option.
    • For a brief description of the options available in this dialog, click any of the options and press F1.
  4. In the Estimates group box, specify options for overpayment application, estimate declarations, and estimate rounding.
  5. In the Other group box, specify options for client documents, suppressing the state electronic file, and printing worksheets.
  6. Click OK to save the settings and close the dialog, or click Cancel to close the dialog without saving the changes to the option settings.
  7. Click OK to close the 1041 Product Information dialog.
