MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to transmit e-files from CS Connect. Find out more.

Use this procedure to specify setup options for all 709 clients subsequently added to UltraTax CS. The options are applied the first time you open a client in UltraTax CS.

  1. Choose Setup > 709 Gift Tax.

    Note: Depending on the security configuration, you may be prompted to enter the master password. Click OK to continue.

  2. Click the New Client Options button in the Additional information group box to open the New Client Options dialog.

    Notes

    • The option you choose in this dialog applies to all 709 clients subsequently added to UltraTax CS until you change it again. Changing the option in the New Client Options dialog does not affect existing 709 clients. You must open each client and edit the data accordingly if you do not want UltraTax CS to apply a particular option.
    • UltraTax CS applies the settings in this dialog to all 709 returns with data that you converted from another tax application. UltraTax CS applies these settings the first time you open the return.
  3. Select the desired option.
  4. Click OK to accept the settings and close the dialog, or click Cancel to close the dialog without saving the changes to the option settings.
  5. Click OK to close the 709 Product Information dialog.
