Question

Why won’t the Worksheet for Owners compute the required minimum distribution for a Roth IRA?

Answer

There are no RMD requirements for a Roth IRA account while the owner is alive, so the Worksheet for Owners does not calculate when a Screen 1099R-3 unit indicates that it is an inherited Roth IRA by entering a 2 in the Type of plan field.
