Before you provide organizers to your clients via email or NetClient CS, review the default contents of the organizer and decide if you want to modify the package. To customize your organizer package, print a complete set of blank organizer forms.

Note: For information about emailing and customizing default blank PDF organizers for new clients, see Default blank organizer package for new clients.

Review each organizer form thoroughly, then determine if there are any forms that you want to always include or always exclude in the PDF organizer package for each client. To include or exclude an organizer page from the PDF organizer package, select the appropriate form and mark or clear the Include in Electronic Org checkbox on the Return Collation dialog, which you can access by choosing Setup > 1040 Individual > Organizer tab and clicking the Organizer button. For example, you may want to include only general client information, itemized deductions, interest and dividend income, and child and dependent care forms for all clients. Changing the print collation for paper client organizer also affects the email PDF client organizer and vice versa. If you plan to process both paper and PDF organizers, it is important to review the print collation in the Return Collation dialog before processing each type of organizer.
