To send organizers in PDF to clients, you need to enter the client's email addresses. You can do so via the Client Communications dialog or on Screen Contact. 

Notes

  • Clients that have None selected for the organizer delivery method in the Client Communications dialog are not available for PDF client organizer processing even if you enter an email address. To send a PDF organizer to the client, select Email (PDF) or File (PDF) from the drop-down list in the Organizer Delivery column in the Client Communications dialog.
  • UltraTax CS updates the Taxpayer email address and Spouse email address fields in Screen Contact with the email addresses you enter in the Email Address field in the Client Communications dialog and vice versa.
  • Use the Email To field on the Client Communications dialog to specify the desired email address to which UltraTax CS will send the PDF client organizer: the taxpayer's address, the spouse's address, or both.

Entering the client's email address using the Client Communications dialog

You must enter the client's email address before sending a PDF organizer via email. Complete the following steps to enter the client's email address.

  1. Choose Setup > Client Communications.
  2. In the Email Address field, enter the email address for the client. By default, UltraTax CS assigns the email address to the taxpayer, as indicated by the Tp in the Email Address field. To enter an email address for the spouse, select Sp from the drop-down list in the Email Address field.
  3. Select the email address to which you want to send the PDF organizer from the Email to field. You can send the organizer to the taxpayer email address, spouse email address, or both.

Entering the client's email address using Screen Contact

If you have the client open, you can enter the client's email address by entering the information in either the Taxpayer email address or Spouse email address field in the Client Contact Information section in Screen Contact. You can enter the email address on either the federal or organizer input screen.
