MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to transmit e-files from CS Connect. Find out more.

Use the state tabs at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window to enter state-specific apportionment information. State tabs appear only if you have added states to the client and if additional apportionment information is required.

To enter state-specific apportionment information, click the appropriate state tab at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window.

Special information for processing Idaho returns

UltraTax CS provides predefined statement dialogs for factor components requiring detail information. UltraTax CS uses the information you enter in the statement dialogs in the Everywhere column on the form for that component. UltraTax CS ignores amounts from the Everywhere / (Override) column for that component.

Fields & buttons

General Information group box

UltraTax CS uses information you enter in this group box to complete form fields and answer questions that are not addressed in the Apportionment Information spreadsheet.

Mark this checkbox to indicate that the partnership is an electrical or telephone utility. When you mark this checkbox, UltraTax CS answers Yes to the question on Form 65, Page 1, line 4. If you leave this field blank, UltraTax CS automatically marks the No checkbox.

UltraTax CS also uses this information on Schedule 42 to calculate the Idaho apportionment factor. Electrical or telephone utilities are calculated using a single weighted sales factor.
