Question

Can I use the proration method to allocate one item to a partner and the interim closing of books method to allocate another item?

Answer

No. UltraTax CS will only use either the proration method or the interim closing of books method to distribute amounts to partners, but not both. If you want to mix the methods used during the tax year, use the Ptr Alloc buttons to distribute the desired amount to the partners.
