MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

The electronic record for Forms IT-40, IT-40PNR, and IT-40RNR includes specific detail from source documents W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, and 1099-MISC in order to support the state and local withholding claimed on the main return. The Indiana Department of Revenue will not process electronically filed returns claiming state or local withholding if certain detail is missing from the electronic record. If state or local withholding is reported via one of these documents, include the following data entry on federal Screen W2, W2G, 1099R, or 1099M:

This information is mandatory for processing electronically filed returns with Indiana state or local withholding from W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, or 1099-MISC. UltraTax CS displays a critical diagnostic message when the required information is missing.
