Overview

Use this screen to complete Form IT-40PNR or Form IT-40RNR.

Note: This screen appears only if Indiana is selected as Part-Year resident or Nonresident via File > Client Properties > Indiana tab.

General Information

Use this section to enter taxpayer and spouse residency information to report on Schedule H.

If the taxpayer or spouse had only one state of residency during the tax year, you may use the corresponding State of residency fields for Taxpayer/Spouse to enter the 2-letter state abbreviation to report on Indiana Schedule H. Otherwise, if the taxpayer or spouse had more than one state of residency during the tax year, use the States of residency statement dialog.

If at any time during the year one spouse was a resident of Indiana while the other spouse was not a resident of Indiana, visit File > Client Properties > Indiana tab and choose the option for Part-year resident.
