Error Code F1040-511: If Line 1 checkbox "Single" or Line 2 checkbox "Married filing jointly" or Line 5 checkbox "Qualifying widow(er) with dependent child" is checked (element 'IndividualReturnFilingStatusCd' has a value 1 or 2 or 5), then the Primary SSN in the Return Header must not be equal to Spouse SSN on another tax return in which Married Filing Separately is the filing status.

When receiving this rejection, verify the taxpayer's SSN on Screen 1040, located under the General folder. If it is incorrect, enter it correctly, recreate the electronic file and resubmit. If the SSN is indeed correct, then the IRS has already received a return with this SSN used as the spouse's SSN. In this instance, the return will need to be filed on paper (refer to 1040 - US ELF:  Form 8948 - Paper Filing Exceptions if filing the return on paper), and you'll need to contact the IRS to get this resolved for future e-filing.
