MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Error code SC-F1040-002-02: One of the following lines in Schedule C (Form 1040) must have a non-zero value: Line 1 'TotalGrossReceiptsAmt', Line 7 'GrossIncomeAmt', Line 28 'TotalExpensesAmt', Line 29 'TentativeProfitOrLossAmt', Line 31 'NetProfitOrLossAmt'.

In order to file electronically, there must a positive amount on at least one of the following Schedule C lines:

If there isn't a positive amount on at least one of those lines, then the return cannot be filed electronically per IRS e-File specifications. If the Schedule C is not required to be filed, but you want to keep the activity in the tax return, mark Inactive activity for 2017 on Screen C. If the Schedule C is required to be filed, the return will then need to be filed on paper. If filing the return on paper, refer to 1040-US ELF: Form 8948 -Paper Filing Exceptions.
