MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to transmit e-files from CS Connect. Find out more.

Error code F990-911-03: If "Final return/terminated" checkbox is not checked or "Initial return" checkbox is not checked, then in the Return Header, the tax period ending date must match data in the e-file database.

This rejection is caused by the tax year end date on the return does not match what the IRS has on file. To fix this error, review Tax year ending, if other than 12/31 at the bottom of Screen 990. If this date is incorrect, put in the correct tax year ending date. If this date is correct, the IRS has the wrong information in their database. You can contact the IRS at 1-866-255-0654 to resolve this error. If the error can't be resolved after contacting the IRS, you will have to paper file the return.
