You may receive an error message such as "Cannot delete file: Access is denied" or "The file is in use by another program or user" or "Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use" when trying to install applications or open a client.

There may be multiple reasons for these sorts of error messages. Here is a common list troubleshooting steps you may want to consider.

  1. Have our user sit at the server that's hosting the data.
  2. Right-click on My Computer and select Manage.
  3. In Computer Management, expand Shared Folders and click Open Files.
  4. Here you will be able to view all open files including CS Application files and see which user is either in the program or just have a locked file that our user can disconnect by right-clicking on the file and choosing Disconnect.
