MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to transmit e-files from CS Connect. Find out more.

You can set up a default preparer so that all clients subsequently added from this computer will automatically be assigned to this preparer. Of course, you can override the assignment on a client-by-client basis. To do so, choose File > New Client (for new clients) or File > Client Properties (for existing clients).

  1. From the Setup menu, choose User Preferences.
  2. In the My Settings tab, select a default preparer from the drop-down list for the Preparer field.
  3. Click OK.

Note: Preparer information is entered in Setup > Office Configuration > Preparers tab.
