Question

Can I sign Form 8879-C, 8879-I, 8879-S, 8453-C, 8453-I, or 8453-S with an electronic signature (eSignature)?

Answer

Currently, the IRS does not support eSignature for the above-mentioned forms. UltraTax/1120 does support eSignature for the following forms and documents.

• Form 114a, Record of Authorization to Electronically File FBARs
• Engagement Letter
• Consent to Disclose and Use Tax Information
• Bank Account Verification
