New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

Error

If "Amended Return" or (Superseded for 1120/1120S/1120-F/1041/1065) checkbox is not checked, then taxpayer TIN in the Return Header must not be the same as a TIN of a previously accepted electronic return for the return type and tax period indicated in the tax return. (value #########, rule R0000-932-02)

Solution

Verify the following:

  • Verify that the Taxpayer Identification Number (EIN) is correct on the 1120 screen in the General folder.
  • If the return is not an amended or superseded return, then you must file the return on paper, because the return was already filed OR another return was already filed (and accepted) using that TIN.
  • If the return should be an amended or superseded return, refer to Amended or superseding returns (FAQ) for details.
