Follow this procedure to enter unrelated business income and expense for other revenue activities.

  1. Open the desired client (File > Open).
  2. Click the Income & Deductions folder in the folders block.
  3. For client entity type 990E (exempt organization): Click the Income tab, and then press PAGE DOWN to move the cursor to the Analysis of Income Producing Activities section.

For client entity type 990PF (private foundation): Click the IncomePF tab, and then press PAGE DOWN to move the cursor to the Part XVI-A - Analysis of Income Producing Activities section.

  4. Position the cursor in the desired income-producing activity field. In this example, use the Program service revenue field. Press CTRL+E to open the statement dialog, and then enter the description, amount, and an unrelated business activity code.

Other revenue activity information appears only on the 990-T return as other revenue if you enter a valid unrelated business activity code in the appropriate statement dialog.
