Renumbering multiple assets in the order shown in the Asset List window

To automatically renumber an activity's assets in the order in which they appear in the Asset List window, perform the following steps.

  1. Open the Asset List window for an activity.
  2. By default, the assets are listed by asset number. Click a column heading to sort the assets in the order in which you want them to be numbered.

    Examples

    • To renumber the assets by date placed in service, click the In Service column heading.
    • To renumber the assets in alphabetical order, click the Description column heading.

    Note: If the column by which you want to sort does not appear in the Asset List window, customize the window so that the column does appear.

  3. Choose Edit > Renumber in Order Shown, then click OK when prompted to confirm that you want to renumber the assets.
