Setting options for all 1041 clients

Use this procedure to specify setup options in UltraTax/1041.

  1. Choose Setup > 1041 Fiduciary.

    Note: Depending on the security configuration, you may be prompted to enter the master password and click OK before continuing.

  2. Click the Federal tab.
  3. In the Document format group box, select the appropriate Letters & Emails and Filing Instructions options. The options selected apply to all new and existing UltraTax/1041 clients until they are changed.
  4. Click the Other Return Options button in the Additional information group box, and select the appropriate setup options. The options selected apply to all new and existing UltraTax/1041 clients until the setup options are changed again.
  5. To set options that apply to all new clients subsequently added to the 1041 product, click the New Client Options button in the Additional information group box.

    Note: For clients whose data was converted by Thomson Reuters from another tax product, the new client options are applied the first time you open the client in UltraTax CS.

  6. Click OK to accept the settings and close the dialog, or click Cancel to close the dialog without saving the changes to option settings.
  7. Click OK to accept the explanation and close the dialog, or click Cancel to close the dialog without saving the explanation.
  8. Click OK to close the 1041 Product Information dialog.
