Question

Can I still choose 1040-ES vouchers in OCR-A format if I do not have an IRS label from which to obtain the IRS two-character code (check digits)?

Answer

Yes. The taxpayer identification number automatically converts to the appropriate two-character code (check digits). To force a different two-character code, enter the two-character code in the IRS check digits from pre-printed label (Force) field in Screen Est, located in the Payments folder, from the IRS-provided pre-printed label that was mailed to the taxpayer.
