Use this dialog to enter Schedule R-2 information.

To open the Schedule R-2 dialog, choose View > Apportionment > California tab, and click the Schedule R-2 button. Note that you must have a 1065-CA client open to open this dialog.

Schedule R-2 Information

UltraTax CS uses the information you enter in this dialog to complete form fields and answer questions that are not addressed in the Apportionment Information spreadsheet.

Briefly describe the nature and location of California business activities in the statement.

State the exact title and principal activity of any joint ventures, partnerships, or LLCs in the statement.

If no, in the statement, explain why Schedule R-1 does not include all sales shipped from California where purchaser is the US Government. If this statement is blank, UltraTax CS enters Yes as the default answer.

If no, in the statement, explain why Schedule R-1 does not include all sales shipped from California to states in which the taxpayer is not subject to tax. If this statement is blank, UltraTax CS enters Yes as the default answer.

If yes, in the statement, explain approximation used to assign sales. If this state is blank, UltraTax CS enters No as the default answer.

If no, in the statement, explain why the non-business components on Schedule R and the apportionment factor components reported on Schedule R-1 are not treated consistently on all state tax returns. If this statement is blank, UltraTax CS enters Yes as the default answer.

If yes, in the statement, explain the change in the way income is apportioned or allocated to California from prior years. If this statement is blank, UltraTax CS enters No as the default answer.

If no, in the statement, explain why the sales figure on Schedule R-1 does not include all sales shipped to California destinations. If this statement is blank, UltraTax CS enters Yes as the default answer.

If no, in the statement, explain why the sales figure on Schedule R-1 does not include all sales delivered to customers outside California that have an ultimate destination in California. If this statement is blank, UltraTax CS enters Yes as the default answer.
