Question
How do I choose to pay with electronic funds transfer (EFT)?
Answer
If a return or extension is being electronically filed, EFT is the default payment method and no further action is required. If a return or extension is being paper filed, use the EFT options used in filing instructions: Return filing instructions / Extension filing instructions fields on Screen Letter in the General folder to choose to pay by a method of EFT.
Note: An FYI diagnostic will trigger indicating how the balance due should/will be paid.
