To enter New York City apportionment, choose View > Apportionment with an 1120 client open. Note that you must have the New York state return attached to the client in order to open this window. In the New York tab at the bottom of the window, click the MTA, NYC button to open the New York City and other returns dialog. Note that you must have a New York City or other return attached to the current client in order to open this dialog.

The everywhere amounts for a New York City return that is 100 percent in-state must be entered in the city’s respective New York column of the main apportionment spreadsheet. This must be done even if New York state is not to be apportioned since the New York City columns are not part of the main apportionment spreadsheet.
