New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

Wages

City wages on nonresident returns are calculated based off of information entered on federal Screen W2, located in the Income folder. Wages will be allocated to New York City if there is information in Box 18, Local Wages and the City code is NYC. Alternatively, wages will be allocated to Yonkers when wages are entered in Box 18 and the City code is YON. If calculating Form Y-206 for a Yonkers nonresident return, the sum of these entries will be the city wages.

Tax

UltraTax/1041-NY uses expenses directly allocated to US obligations on federal Screen Deduct as well as expenses indirectly allocated to US obligations to calculate the subtraction for expenses on US obligations on Form IT-225. This calculation is also displayed on the New York Exempt Income and Expense worksheet.
