California Forms 540, 3514, and 5805 as well as Schedules CA (540), D (540), P (540), X, and W-2 include a two-dimensional (2D) bar code. The bar code includes data contained on the returns and/or schedules and allows the California Franchise Tax Board to process paper-filed returns faster.
Note: If any part of the return is changed and re-printed, the page(s) containing the 2D bar code must also be re-printed.
