Question

If changes are made to the separate clients after the joint Domestic Partner return is created, how is the information entered in the joint return?

Answer

Information from the two separate federal clients may be re-merged into the joint return. However, all data in federal screens and in the asset module in the joint client is overwritten with this process. Adjustments made to federal or asset data entry in the joint Civil Union client are lost.
