New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

A school district return can be filed electronically regardless of residency status in the district.

UltraTax CS prints a government collation copy of all school district returns, including those filed electronically. If Form SC 100 prints "THIS RETURN FILED ELECTRONICALLY - DO NOT MAIL" at the bottom of the pages, you do not need the paper copy and you should not submit it to the state.

If you prefer not to print any government copies of school district returns when you file them electronically, adjust the tax return collation for Ohio under Setup > 1040 Individual > Ohio tab > Tax Return. Highlight the OH Form SD100 (Income Tax Return) in the Government tab and uncheck the Print on paper box in the When filing electronically group box.

Notes

  • The SD 100 return is a separate electronic file and the acknowledgement is separate from the main Ohio return (IT 1040).
  • You can e-file multiple SD 100 returns, and you can suppress a specific School District return from e-filing.
