Question

Where is the data entry for contributions to a STABLE account, Ohio’s ABLE plan?

Answer

There are no state data input fields on Screen OHAdj. Data entry is required on federal Screen 1099QA (located in the Health Care folder) to get a deduction for contributions to a STABLE account, Ohio’s ABLE plan. Enter OH for the state postal code, the Recipient’s social security number and first and last name, the amount contributed in the current year, and select 24 in the State use field. The application automatically limits the deduction to $2,000 per recipient. Any excess contributions will carryforward to next year.
