1065-NJ: Pass-through income on Schedule A

If there is income from K-1 passthrough activities on the return, the amounts on NJ 1065 page 1 may not correspond to the items on Schedule K of the federal return. This is because, per the instructions, if K-1 passthrough items are present, Schedule A must be completed first. Federal K-1 amounts automatically transfer to the top portion of Schedule A. You must enter the NJ amounts on Screen NJSchA in order to see NJ amounts to transfer to NJ 1065 page 1. From there, where the amounts transfer to the income from tiered partnership fields and any tax to the Part100. See the Schedule A instructions to find out which lines from the K1 you received should be entered in the statement on Screen NJSchA to fill NJ1065 Columns A, B and C.
