New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

UltraTax CS defaults to detailed asset data entry for each client. However, UltraTax CS also includes a summary asset data entry feature, which you can use to enter calculated depreciation information directly. To enable summary asset data entry, follow these steps.

1. In the New Client or Client Properties dialogs, click the Advanced Properties button.
2. Click the Enter Asset Detail tab.
3. Clear the Enter asset detail information checkbox.
4. Click OK to close the Advanced Properties dialog.
