If you are licensed for FileCabinet CS, UltraTax CS can automatically back up client data in FileCabinet CS when you close a return in UltraTax CS or after you proforma client data from the prior-year application. To enable this feature, or to set preferences, follow these steps.
- Choose Setup > Office Configuration.
Note: Depending on your security configuration, you might be required to enter the master password and click OK before you can proceed.
- Click the FileCabinet CS tab.
- Mark the Automatically back up client data to FileCabinet CS checkbox.
- Click the Options button to verify or change backup options.
Note: For information about specific fields in this dialog, press F1.
- Click OK to close the Backup Options dialog, then click Done to close the Office Configuration dialog.
Notes
- As UltraTax CS automatically backs up client data in FileCabinet CS, a "Data Backup" folder is created for each drawer's ID in the Folder Window list.
- By default, a maximum of three backups per client are stored in FileCabinet CS, with a maximum of one backup per day.
