New (tax) year, new help!

To view prior year data entry in a client that has been proforma'd, press the F8 keyboard function key. For example, if you have a 1040 client open in UltraTax CS and want to view the prior year wages, access Screen W2, located under the Income folder, and press the F8 key. This works especially well in the Asset tab to view a client's prior year mileage entered for a vehicle.

You can view prior year data within State Allocation dialogs. To view prior state allocation data, open the desired State Allocation dialog and press F8.

Note: When entering data in the current year, the data entry fields are white. Once you press the F8 key, the fields turn gray. After pressing the F8 key, press it again in order to return to the current year data entry.
