Use the Document Names tab to enter custom titles for tax returns, extensions, organizers, and input screens printed to Portable Document Format (.PDF) or Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (.XLS) files. To enable the fields on this dialog, mark the Use custom names for PDFs checkbox at the top of the dialog.

To open this tab, click the PDF File Options button on the Print Options tab (in the Setup > Office Configuration dialog or the Setup > User Preferences dialog), and then click the Document Names tab. 

Fields & buttons

Mark this checkbox to enable the Custom Name fields on this dialog, where you can enter your preferred titles for tax returns, extensions, organizers, and input screens.

This column displays the default filename for each document that can be customized. Clicking the Restore Default button at the bottom of the Document Names tab will revert any custom filenames to the titles shown in this column.

Use the fields in this colum to enter the desired filename for each tax return (client or preparer copy), organizer, extension, or input screen document. Note that each tax return document must have a unique filename. To remove the customized filenames and return to the default filename displayed in the Default Document Name column, click the Restore Default button.

Click the Restore Default button to revert any custom filenames to the titles shown in the Default Document Name column.
