Per the IRS, there must be a contact executor that signs Form 706, Page 1. To identify this executor, choose the applicable individual on the Names screen and enter code 1 in the Executor: Type field. If code 1 is not selected, "BLANK" prints on the transmittal letter. If you have multiple executors, at least one executor must be assigned code 1 in the Executor: Type field. All other executors should be assigned code 2.
