Using an attachment title for signature documents

Do I need to use a specific attachment title for the signature document for 5500 returns?


You must use the attachment title “Manually signed Form 5500 or 5500-SF under e-signature option for providers” for the attached, signed Form 5500 or 5500-SF, Pages 1 and 2. If you use the attachment title "Other Attachment," UltraTax CS generates error CSIUS01 when you attempt to create the electronic file.

To fix this error, do the following:

  1. Choose Edit > Electronic Filing Attachments.
  2. Highlight the attachment and click Edit. 
  3. Select Manually signed Form 5500 or 5500-SF from the Attachment title field.
