Question

Can I change a regular 990 to a 990PF without creating a new client?

Answer

Yes. To change an existing 990 client to a 990PF client without creating a new return, open the existing 990 client, choose File > Client Properties, select Private Foundation from the drop-down list, and then click OK.

Notes

  • You can use similar steps to change a 990PF client to a regular 990 client.
  • Some input screens are specific to 990 and 990PF returns, so additional data entry may be required.
