New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

To enter Roth IRA contributions or have the tax application compute the maximum contribution, do one of the following on the IRA screen in the Retirement folder.

  • Mark the Have program compute maximum Roth IRA contribution field
  • or enter the taxpayer's contribution amount in the Total Roth IRA contribution field.

If both fields are both completed, the tax application ignores the data entered in the Total Roth IRA contribution field and calculates the maximum allowed Roth IRA contribution.

Note: The calculation for the allowable contribution displays on the Roth IRA Contribution Worksheet. To view this worksheet, go to Forms and click the IRA Worksheets tab.
