New (tax) year, new help!

To add Forms NPT and BIRT to a Pennsylvania return, select File > Client Properties > Pennsylvania tab, and mark the option for NPT, BIRT. For Philadelphia returns to calculate, there must be partners indicated as residents or nonresidents. To indicate residency, go to View > Partner Information > Pennsylvania tab, and mark the Resident of Philadelphia checkbox for residents. If this checkbox is not marked, it is assumed that the individual is a nonresident. Note that this option will be grayed out if the Resident state at year end field on the Partner tab is anything other than PA.
