To send Email Business Organizers to clients, you need to enter both the firm's and the client's email addresses.

You must enter your firm email address before you can email or transmit the Email Business Organizer. By default, your firm's email address is set globally so that the same return email address applies to all users.

Notes

  • Clients that have None selected for the organizer delivery method in the Client Communications dialog are not available for Email Business Organizer processing even if you enter an email address. To send an Email Business Organizer to the client, select Email (PDF) from the drop-down list in the Organizer Delivery column in the Client Communications dialog.
  • UltraTax CS updates the Email address field in Screen Contact with the email address you enter in the Email Address field in the Client Communications dialog and vice versa.

Entering the client's email address using the Client Communications dialog

You must enter the client's email address before sending an Email Business Organizer. Complete the following steps to enter the client's email address.

  1. Choose Setup > Client Communications.
  2. In the Email Address field, enter the email address for the client.

Note: The Email Address field has a limitation of 40 characters.

Entering the client's email address using Screen Contact

If you have the client open, you can enter the client's email address by clicking the tab for Screen Contact and entering the information in the Email address field in the Contact Information section.

Note: The Email Address field has a limitation of 40 characters.

Entering the firm's return email address

You must enter your firm's email address before you can email or transmit the Email or Web Business Organizer. Complete these steps to enter the email address to which you want organizers returned.

  1. Choose Setup > Client Communications.
  2. Enter the return email address in the Firm email address field.
  3. Click the Web Delivery Options button.
  4. If desired, mark the Automatically send an email notification to each client when their Web Organizer or Tax Return is transmitted via CS Connect to their NetClient CS portal checkbox.
  5. Use the Address email from drop-down list to choose the appropriate return address. You can select the email address for the Firm, Preparer (as specified in the Setup > Office Configuration > Preparers tab), Reviewer (as specified in the Setup > Office Configuration > Reviewers tab) or Staff (as specified in the Setup > System Configuration > Staff tab).
  6. You can also choose to blind copy the firm, preparer, reviewer, or staff email address by marking the appropriate Send a blind copy (BCC) to checkbox.

Notes

  • By default, the return email address is set globally so that the same return email address applies to all users.
  • Returns which have not been assigned to a preparer, reviewer, or staff member will default to using the firm email address as the return address.
  • Returns assigned to preparers, reviewers, or staff members who do not have an email address entered in the Preparers tab, Reviewers tab, or Staff tab will default to using the firm email address as the return address.
