Sharing configurable files between firm data locations

If you have office share or branch licensing and you store each firm's data in a separate directory, you can maintain separate configurable items, such as client documents. If you want to share the documents of a firm with another firm, do the following.

  1. From the Setup menu, choose Office Configuration.
  2. Click the Office Setup button to open the Office Setup dialog.
  3. Click the Transfer Configurable Files button.

    Note: This button is available only if multiple office profiles exist on the Office Setup dialog.

  4. In the Transfer Configurable Files dialog, choose the location that contains the files you want to share from the From office drop-down list.
  5. In the To office field, choose the office profile to which you will copy the files.
  6. In the list of configurable items, mark the checkbox to the left of each type of item you want to copy.
  7. Click the Transfer button.

When all files have been copied, you will receive a message stating that the transfer is complete.
