Selecting input screen fields in Data Mining

Follow these steps to select input screen fields from the Input Screen Field Selection dialog when you are defining search criteria, editing searches, or creating custom reports.

  1. Select Utilities > Data Mining.
  2. Choose the entity and click Continue (Step 2).
  3. In the Print Selection section, choose a report or create a custom report.
  4. In the Client search/focus section, click the Add/Modify Searches button.
  5. Click Add at the bottom of the screen.
  6. Enter a search name.
  7. Choose the product from the drop-down.
  8. Select the Input screen field option.
  9. Choose a field from the list. If you don't see the field listed:
    1. Click the Add/Modify button.
    2. Click Add.
    3. You'll see the blank input screens appear. Find the field by clicking through the folders and tabs (screens).
    4. Click the field to highlight it. The field will turn blue. If the field has a statement dialog, you can click the Statement Statement dialog button button or press E on your keyboard. The statement fields will appear, and you can click the field within the statement you want to chose. 
    5. Click Select.
    6. Choose the values that are acceptable for your search.
    7. Click the Enter button to save your selection.
    8. Click Done.
  10. Highlight the field and click Select.
  11. Click Done.
  12. Click Done again.
  13. Make sure the Search name field shows the correct search.
  14. Click the Continue (Step 3) button. If the button is grayed out, make sure you have a report selected.
