Receiving "Return file was previously sent and is awaiting agency ACK when transmitting an e-file via CS Connect.
This message is sent by the CS Connect servers informing you that the return file has already been sent and is waiting on an acknowledgement from the taxing agency. If the return file has already been sent, then you cannot retransmit the same file again. Once the acceptance or rejection has been issued, then you can do one of the following:
- If the return is accepted, then an amended return will need to be filed (on paper only). OR
- If the return is rejected, then you can make your changes, re-create the e-file and resubmit via CS Connect.
