The following information is an overview of Web Client Organizer fees that occur on a per return basis and when they are applicable:

  • There is a Transmission Fee per Organizer (assessed when transmitted to the Thomson Reuters' servers).
  • There is a Retrieval Fee per Organizer (assessed when completed Web Client Organizer is retrieved into UltraTax CS).

The fees associated with transmitting and retrieving Web Organizers apply to Web Organizers only and not paper or email client organizers. These fees are charged once per taxpayer SSN. Your firm can transmit and retrieve a client's Web Organizer as many times as necessary. You will only incur charges the first time you transmit and retrieve the Web Organizer.

Determining if your firm is subject to Web Organizer fees on a per return basis:

Is the firm licensed for NetFirm CS?

  • If not, your firm is subject to Web Organizer fees on a per return basis as discussed above.

If the firm has NetFirm CS (including SaaS),are you currently paying netclient fees?

  • Yes, if you use UltraTax CS for web delivery of Tax Returns, and/or have client portals that were created from processes outside of the UltraTax CS program. More information about NetClient CS pricing can be found here.
  • No, if only Web Organizers from UltraTax CS, and/or Web employee and/or Employee SelfService content is sent to the portals, the firm is subject to Web Organizer fees on a per return basis as discussed above.

The NetFirm Billing Report will indicate if your firm has been paying for NetClient CS.
