Use this dialog to select options for printing government, client, custom, or Data Mining mailing labels. The options you can select include the number of copies to print, whether or not to print a barcode on the labels, and the size of the labels.

Government labels: To open this dialog, mark the appropriate label(s) in the Select Government Mailing Labels dialog, then click the Continue button.

Client labels: To open this dialog, select the appropriate client(s) in the Select Clients for Mailing Labels dialog, then click the Continue button.

Custom labels: To open this dialog, mark the appropriate label(s) in the Select Custom Labels dialog, then click the Continue button.

Data Mining mailing labels: To open this dialog, select the appropriate client(s) in the Mailing Labels dialog, then click the Continue button.

Fields & buttons

Next to this button, UltraTax CS displays either the default printer you have set up for Windows applications or the printer selected for UltraTax CS. To change the default printer for UltraTax CS, click this button.

From the drop-down list, select the type of label you want to print.

Note: If the desired label is not listed, click the Define label size button and edit the existing label types or create new ones.

Click this button to open a dialog in which you can edit the current label sizes or add new label sizes.

  • To select the number of copies of each label you want to print, click the Of each label option, then enter the appropriate number in this field.
  • To select the number of pages of each label you want to print, click the Of pages of each label option, then enter the appropriate number in this field.

If you are printing to a partially-used sheet of mailing labels, use these fields to determine where on the label sheet UltraTax CS will start printing. If you are printing multiple pages of mailing labels, the settings specified in these fields will only apply to the first page.

  • Click the Of each label option to select the number of copies of each label you want to print, then enter the appropriate number in the Copies field.
  • Click the Of pages of each label option to select the number of pages of each label you want to print, then enter the appropriate number in the Copies field.

Mark this checkbox to print a barcode on the mailing labels.

Notes

  • The barcode will not print if the address does not contain a valid five-character or nine-character ZIP code.
  • The barcode will not print if the label is not wide enough to accommodate the barcode.
  • This checkbox is disabled if you marked the Print labels with client name only checkbox.

Mark this checkbox to print the text on the mailing labels in all upper case.

Mark this checkbox to print the client's ID on the mailing label.

Note: This field is available only if you are printing client mailing labels.

Mark this checkbox to print the client's name on the mailing label. For 1040 clients, the last name will appear first on the label.

Note: This field is available only if you are printing client mailing labels.

Choose either Client ID, Client name, Entity, or Zip code from this drop-down list to sort the printed labels according to the specified criteria.

Click this button to preview the mailing labels on screen before you print them.
